![]() Juried Exhibition in 2016 Fashion and Body Symposium. University of Minnesota, St. Paul | ![]() To fly in the sky was a widespread wish of Chinese people in ancient times. Over time Chinese people expressed this wish by creating art reflecting the floating, flowing, energetic and rhythmic beauty of the images of flying Asparases. Many such ancient images were found and restored on the walls of ancient Mogao grottoes in China. My collection is a contemporary interpretation of the art found on murals in these grottoes. | ![]() Fashion design mural inspired by flying apsaras art flourishing in the Tang Dynasty |
